November 27, 2009

Thanksgiving was great, Amanda was chef of the day, Justin had to stay home.
I did little of nothing. :)
Beck was with Dustin at his family's home in Charleston.
But I began to feel a little ill Wednsday night. Bronchitis rears its head every spring and fall. Sometimes I can beat it to the beginning of a crappy month or two;) Well I hope I caught it in time. Right now I feel rather crappy. Short of breath, nose plugged up half of the time, usually just one side at a time.;) And I am just worn out. To keep from waking Chuck during the night with my up and down peeing out all the water I've been drinking, I am sleeping downstairs.
Lord heal me, I hate not being well.

I am ashamed of myself for not keeping up my postings, but my mind shifts so often, that I miss a lot of things that should be done. Mother being at the nursing home, was a wonderful break for me, but since her hip has healed, she has taken a turn mentally. It was ok for her to bite and scratch me, but she had gotten rather hateful with the staff. They are used to it, but week before last she threw water on another patient. So they changed her meds. She did seem to be a lot calmer, still said hateful things but not as often. Lately I hadn't felt well, and since they have put up signs about staying away if you have any signs of flu or cold. But this evening, I ventured into Rosewood. She had trouble sitting up, eating, and swallowing. She had had some trouble even while here, but I do believe she has now taken a turn for the worse. I pray God, that you let her be in comfort.

Last week, Chuck's cat, Dauphne, dissapeared while I was in Virginia, visiting our Aunt Mariam Lee with my brother. After Dippy had passed I knew we weren't ready for a household cat to go missing. So after Chuck left for the game this morning, I heard a knock at the back door. Yes, all of our cats knock on the back door, in fact the neighbor's cat "Biter" knocks. Anyway, when I opened the door, Dauphne flew in so fast I had to go check to see if it was really her. She and her step brother are both black cats, but she has a white bib. Sure enough, meowing at the top of her lungs, she was glad to be home! Ran to the food bowl, and then settled in for a nap with me on the little day bed. awwww, it's been a good day, when a cat comes home. :)

Lately, I have gotten so many complaints about the president in emails, websites, and every other political machine that is loose. Back when Bush was in office, I didn't pas along trash about him, and I don't know why people feel the need now.
It is amazing things people will complain about. Our president is an important part of our country, this is American history in the making. If the parents don't like the president's party, then this would be a good time to talk to the kids when they get home. Discuss your views with them, instead of simply telling them, "vote republican, because our family has been republican for 10 generations"! Talk to them about the ways that could make our country stronger, in your own opinion. I pray a lot for our country.
