Today was the meeting of great minds of spinning, knitting, and just general chit chat;) Wonderful day for the Loose Ends Fiber Addicts, at the 123 Coffee in beautiful downtown Grafton:)
I didn't get much done, but I certainly got a lot talked about:)
This is some of my dyed, spun, and entrelac knitting, in a trial pattern:)

Amanda's friend was pleased with the baby quilt. Kathy ended up quilting the whole baby quilt :)
So now, I have a new obsession, entrelac knitting.
I have made one dish cloth, and several swatches. The big project of the moment is an entrelac couch throw. Every other row is black yarn, and in between is colorful scraps of yarn, different colors, and they seem to be much brighter by having the black yarn in between.

http://www.joann.com/dritz-slip-stop-thimbles/prd3159/ These thimbles  are easiest for me to find.
But my favoritests are brass, with the edge on the tip. I need several sizes, because of occasional swelling of my fingers.

January 16, 2012

Been a long long time, but I refound this by looking at a fellow quilters blog. Believe it or not, I have bronchitis again. Well I am almost healed now. This past fall and winter I have worked on a grandmother's flower garden quilt for a baby. Amanda has a friend that she wanted a gift for. She bought me some nice fabric, and the top is done. Yippee. I need a friend to do some of the quilting for me. Kathy has a pvc pipe quilt frame. My big frame is too big, and I'm not that good at keeping things lined up while working with a hoop. The plan is that after Kathy does the center of each florette, I can go back and quilt the rest of the flower in a hoop. :D That's the plan.
